Nepal is a small and beautiful country. It lies between India and China.

Nepal has seven states and seventy-seven districts. Nepal has divided in three geographical locations. They are Hilly region, Terai region and Himalayan region.

Nepalese people commonly welcome you by Namaste which as a traditional salute. About 2.3 billions, Nepalese people are made of 69 different cultural groups living in different region of country. They also speak different language, eat different types of food, wear own cultural dress and they follow their own religious practices. They live under different geographical location such as terai, hilly and Himalayan zone.

However, the world motives and innovation effect to Nepalese society which occur many change day by day in addition of different infrastructure development as new road buildings, modern education and also rapid innovation of technology, internet access making change brought among new generation people. More and more Nepalese, young generation speaks Nepali and English languages, mostly dresses western style clothes and related to the outside world.

Generally, In Himalayan region most of Sherpa, Thakali, Gurung and dolma are lives. They are skillful to climb mountain. They eat different types of food, speak their own language and Dresses their own cultural clothes. Some of people speak English language which helps to guide the tourist. They earn money by guiding the tourist.

In hilly region most of Rai, limbu, magar, tamang, chepang, sunwar and gurung are lives in this area. The chhetri, newar, Brahmins and thakuri and different occupational group damai, kaami, sarki are spread generally as a part of the country. People are depend on agriculture so they worked in field and grown maize, white, rice etc.     

In terai region mosts of Tharu,Brahman,Kshetri,Rajput,danai,majhi,dhimal,singh,yadav etc. most of people lives in this region because of fertile soil and plain land. In this region peoples speaks tharu,Bhojpuri,maithali etc. The mithila groups of terai popular in authentic tradition arts and painting. They also wear different types of cultural clothes.

Main occupation:

Generally most of Nepalese people are involved in traditional occupation agriculture. The main occupation of Nepal is agriculture. Agriculture may takes part in all regions. Most of Nepalese people those who living outside the city or town has own farm land and they grow the main crops in a season. About 76% of total population of Nepal are directly involved in agriculture sector and remain percentage are involved in industrial sector and rest of do jobs, government work, government trading and so on.
